Creating A Safer, Healthier, More Prosperous Future

For Every Community And Neighborhood In Jamaica

The JAMAICA IS ONLINE Program is facilitating a 24-month pilot implementation of GPN across approximately 1200 communities to demonstrate how localized digital infrastructure can accelerate economic opportunity, strengthen community engagement, improve service coordination, and increase access to emerging AI technologies. The pilot will establish scalable regional portal ecosystems that provide:
•    multilingual community access points,
•    local business visibility,
•    digital public infrastructure support,
•    workforce and resource navigation,
•    AI-enhanced engagement tools,
•    and integrated communication systems.

The primary objective of the pilot is to validate GPN as a scalable digital ecosystem model capable of improving economic participation, strengthening local institutional connectivity, and expanding inclusive digital access for underserved populations.

By the end of the pilot, GPN will generate measurable data on user adoption, operational efficiency, business participation, civic engagement, and AI-enabled service accessibility that will inform a broader national and regional expansion strategy to support CARICOM and other regional integration initiatives.

As a National Program, JAMAICA IS ONLINE presents a powerful opportunity to demonstrate the full potential of The  RTIP Initiative.  The RTIP Foundation is working to strengthen Jamaica’s digital public infrastructure, connecting citizens, communities, and institutions across the island.

Aligned With A Call For Connected Infrastructure From

THE PRIME MINISTER OF JAMAICA

"Infrastructure by itself will create economic activity, no doubt...But infrastructure that is planned that is synchronized, that is connected and networked, especially into clusters, that gives you even greater economic benefit. So we are not just looking to rebuild in a haphazard way, we're looking to create infrastructure that when put together will form an economic cluster."

Dr. The Most Hon. Andrew Holness

ALLIGNED WITH THE REGIONAL GOALS OF

THE CARIBBEAN TECHNOLOGY UNION

"The CTU has to continue to be a leader in driving the transformation of national economies in the new digital context. This has to happen country by country, but it also has to happen within a regional framework such as the CARICOM Single ICT Space,
an initiative for which CTU is the lead agency.

This calls for a very focused and streamlined organization to promote harmonized policies and standards that will allow us to make the region more attractive for investment in the
technology sector, and ultimately, to make life better for our people"
